Have had trouble with internet access since the ferry. Have not been in a camping with Wi-Fi, and the mighty Vodafone mobile broadband router that I bought at great expense at home turns out to ONLY work AT HOME!!!!! I had to ring home to find that out! Will be looking for some refund in a couple of months!! We are in MacDonalds Belfast now.
Please note though that the phone number we have given you will still work to call us as you would on a local mobile number.
Great trip over on ferry. We were very grateful to have flat seas (I HAD WORRIES ABOUT THE IRISH SEA). It was very foggy for the entire 3 hour trip, only clearing when we were about 15 minutes from arrival.
Easy off the ferry and we went straight through Dublin and headed northwest to Navan then Cavan to Eniskillenn, overfishing on the way at a little town called Victoria.
Eniskillenn is in Northern Ireland so required a change of currency again. A bit of a laugh because we arrived in Ireland with only English pounds and had to rely on change at the toll booths to get Euro in the Irish Republic then needed Irish pounds in Northern Ireland. Very confusing as back to the Republic in a couple of days!!
Has been cold wet and windy so far except for today as we wander Belfast where it has been sunny but cool. We have had power each night and have had our heater running well to keep warm.
Going north tomorrow to see the Giants Causeway..
Off to catch bus back to camp now. Talk at next Wi-Fi spot.
Keep well till then.
Notice the date on your blog is Tuesday 8th April, which surprised me, there again you are in Ireland, (it's the 7th in the rest of Europe) or am I a bit slow in catching up!!
