Counting Down

Only 7 sleeps to go!!

We are starting to get excited, 'cos we have a bit of time now and have started lokking at maps and thinking in a more definite way of time frames.

The lovely man who owns the van storage facility has organised a mechanic to do the necessaries on the van, and he (Richard, not the mechanic) will pick us up at the airport.  So when we get there the mechanic will have it all up to par and we will only have to take the van through MOT (roadworthy), and pay the road tax (Rego) and we will be good to go.

We plan on taking a day or two to recover and to get the van and its contents all aired out, get some groceries and then we will be off through Wales to catch the ferry to Ireland.  Those are the only definite things at this stage.

If this is your first time on the blog, please scroll down to the very bottom of the page (through tales of the last part of our last trip) and subscribe, you will either get a copy of each post, or be advised by email when I post (not sure which).  Please feel free to pass these contact details on.

This is not intended to be a fabulous narrative, just a letter to my Mum to let her know what we are up to.  However, I hope you will enjoy our journey with us.

That is it for now.  Till next time - keep well

  1. I know what you will forget to pack - me! I am sure if Wendy forgoes a few shoes I could squeeze myself in somehow. Enjoy yourselves, you have definitely worked hard for this. Love Sharon and David. PS. for the life of me I have no idea how to select a profile so I shall remain anonymous.
